Jupiter in Pisces

On January 17, Jupiter will move into Pisces. The planet of expansion will bring its vision of compassion, empathy, mercy and love for all. Jupiter in Pisces will likely bring some astounding medical breakthroughs that deal with technology. For example, clean water for those who do not have it, any kind of technology that heals and brings people together in a spirit of love will become prevalent.

Unfortunately, I think there may be a crescendo of the push-me/pull-you that has been going on with religion, values and philosophies. Pisces is a sign of faith, but faith that is perverted becomes extremism (all extremism: Nazis, KKK, Christian extremists, Muslim extremists. Any kind of extremist group, religious or otherwise). Expansive Jupiter might increase recruitment of people who have less than strong boundaries. (A Piscean/Neptunian issue) I aslo think that at its highest vibration, it can heal rifts and brings people together. Initially we may see lots of eggs being broken to make the omelet.

Jupiter in Pisces might also bring some earth changes (possibly underwater), and stir up some big storms.

Mostly, high minded Jupiter transiting Pisces will bring a shift in priorities. More people will probably have the revelation that selfish self-interest has a high Karmic price in the end. More people will probably begin to choose actions that are holistic, and that follow a more altruistic lifestyle and pattern of thinking. I also think we'll see a resurgence of respect for the Arts in some way. It may be that people will recognize that children involved in the arts are generally smarter and perform better during tests, or it could be a revelation that artists of all kinds are valuable because they help everyone else to recharge, relax, and reconnect when they are worn out. Just ask a heart surgeon if music helps them to relax, and if they think artists have any value!

Naturally, with any transit, there can be a darker side possible. This transit can increase alcoholic binges, drug addiction and issues with all kinds of addiction. Jupiter can increase a person's appetites, cause weight gain, but in Pisces drugs and alcohol are more likely culprits. Just something to watch.

Saturn/Pluto Square 2009-2010

Update on this transit, today, January 31 is the second swipe of the exact square. I think we are seeing some of this energy released as Earth changes. Also, please refer to the below article about Saturn in Libra.

This aspect will be exact for the first swipe November 15, 2009. Saturn just entered Libra and Pluto entered Capricorn in late November of 2008 and just went direct in September very near the same time as the last exact Saturn/Uranus opposition. In these two cardinal signs, change is a very strong, and likely keyword. Re-structuring and completely overhauling what need repair, cleaning house in a big way. Also being held responsible for deliberate lying, cheating, irresponsible behavior is highly likely around this time and the transit rolls through individual charts. (One example could be the Swiss bank tax fraud crackdown.)

The really intense cycle will probably continue through December. Uranus goes direct December 1. The full moon is on December 2, the lunar perigee is December 4, and there is a lunar eclipse on December 31. The likelihood of strong tidal and strong earthquake activity may be higher than usual.

December 24, the Sun does its annual conjunction with Pluto. There will be a t-square at this time involving Saturn, the Sun and Pluto, and the Moon. It seems like a pretty powerful aspect that everyone will notice over time, because outer planets tend to have a long term, evolutionary influence. Transformation, profound healing, shining light on wrongdoing and getting justice are a few examples of how this energy could manifest.

Saturn in Libra

Saturn in Libra brings the energy of reciprocation and responsibility in relationships and partnerships. This a time when relationships that are out of balance will be tested. The ones in which the two people involved are willing to work together as a team will survive. And the relationships where one party is not willing to do the work, or behaves in a solely self-interested way-- will disintegrate.

When I write about relationships, I am addressing all types: married, friends, family—all of them. Parasites who are just slorping off of other people will probably find themselves high and dry. (and good riddance.)

September 1980 was the last time Saturn transited Libra. The Islamic Republic was formed just prior to this transit April 1, 1979. The Cold War was intense during this time, and the Iran-Contra scandal was going on. There was plenty of underhandedness going on, and very little forthrightness. This is why many of these endeavors failed. Saturn in Libra also deals with Truth and Justice by following the rules.

I suspect that we are going to see financial leaders who chose to be greedy criminals get their due. I also think that violent people will get pushed back in some way. Saturn is a tough taskmaster who doesn't really give second chances. In this air sign, Saturn is devoid of emotional touchy feeliness, and is more detached and intellectual. I think a resurgence of true activism will be seen, and people will be more vocal about world and social issues.

Now will also be a time that we could actually see the ERA get passed. Human rights will be in the forefront. My hope is that we will also see some justice in Darfur, and then rest of Africa.

Artistically, because Libra is ruled by Venus, I think we'll see more politically driven art, and a re-emergence of true, political, punk rock.

So get ready to get to work on your relationships. Reciprocation, communication, fairness, and empathy for others is the order of this transit.

Search of the Moment...

We're going to do a search of the moment feature on our home page, because some of the searches crack us up. For some reason, many people have been searching "color of the day" for different signs, which no offense, but I think it's pure nonsense. Wearing a certain color is not very likely to do much, except add color to your wardrobe. The way astrology is approached here at Zodiaxx.com is that it is a science that stands alone. So the search of the moment we're doing right now is "Juno unites with Uranus in Pisces".

Predicting how energy will actually manifest is tricky, especially when Uranus is involved. Uranus rules shocks, surprises, eccentricity, things that are unexpected. So, it's kind of unpredictable. That being said, I think we'll see some really crazy weather and storms with shocking amounts of rain. Possibly some oddball lightning or wind storms. Out of the ordinary stuff, record breaking kind of weirdness. (Juno rules storms, and marriage among other things.) With Neptune turning direct, I expect to see at least one big tropical storm or hurricane. I would think that the track of storms would be kooky and erratic, for example.

Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron Superconjunction May 2009

Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron are moving to conjoin throughout May, and into June. This transit will be in Aquarius. With Uranus in Pisces and Neptune in Aquarius there is some mutual reception going on with these outer planets and the overall energy, because Uranus is ruled by Aquarius and Neptune is ruled by Pisces.

In addition to being highly spiritual energy, this conjunction can expand optimism and promote a dreamlike quality. I would encourage everyone to not take undue risks right now, if things are not clear. Mind the small print, and pay attention to details. The sun will be squaring Saturn during this time, and the Taskmaster doesn't tolerate excuses for irresponsible behavior.

I expect to see some very weird weather, which I have seen in the past with Neptune/Jupiter transits. With Juno conjoining Uranus toward the end of May, I expect to see some big, weird storms. I also expect there might be at least one larger earthquake which involves undersea activity. Not necessarily anything that causes major damage, but, for example, a large undersea earthquake that is in the middle of nowhere, that causes no trouble but registers big time on monitoring equipment.

Overall this Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron conjunction will be great energy for healing, spiritual breakthroughs, and the underdogs and weirdos receiving that which is long overdue.
